Wise Dating

Yes, some lesbians are actually choosing "relationships" with AI chatbots. With AI, you can not only choose exactly what your "girlfriend" looks like, but what kind of personality she has (funny or serious, pessimistic or optimistic, open or mysterious.) She can share all your interests, be available 24/7, and always supportive and affectionate. On some apps, she can even send photos and voice messages.

And you don't have to worry about her breaking up with you -- unless her AI company goes through digital changes, in which case she may suddenly stop sexting with you, forget things you told her, or act differently.

Just like a real person.

As you might expect, since I teach lesbians how to have easier, better relationships with human beings, I have pretty mixed feelings about the AI girlfriend phenomenon. 

On the one hand, it's fascinating. Because human brains are wired for connection, we can start to feel things just by texting someone we've never met. It turns out that even when people know they're chatting with a bot, they still fall in love.

Some people say their AI girlfriends are building their confidence, healing their loneliness, and maybe even helping them get ready for a real human. Others say they're done dating real humans, because it's just too hard.

And I get it. I hear about painful lesbian breakups, and terribly twisted emotional dynamics, between lesbians all the time. 

Still, I'm going to plant my flag on the side of helping humans connect with humans. I believe that when we choose our human girlfriends more consciously, and show up with better skills, we can have human-to-human lesbian relationships that feed our souls in ways "AI girlfriends" never will.

Let's be honest: choosing a relationship with a real person means you have to accept that she won't be available to you 24/7, and she will have needs of her own, unlike an AI girlfriend. It also means she can hug you and kiss you and surprise you in all sorts of ways.
